Crowne Plaza Muscat, Oman, is a series of photographs centred on the hotel’s landscaped pool and its public spaces: the lobby, the restaurants, the table settings, as well as a guest room and a meeting room. The pool is captured against the sea horizon; breakfast is laid out at its edge, while an evening banquet is set up on the lawn nearby. In the interiors, the emphasis falls on details: timber structures, openwork screens, plants, and furniture, whereas the images from the restaurant convey the atmosphere of a meal and the presentation of the food. The shoot was carried out at different times of day — in daylight, at sunset, and under artificial evening light — which made it possible to preserve and convey the different moods that hotel guests experience over the course of their stay.
